WORMWORX installation at the patch, VIC
A challenging site. A steep gradient with restricted access.
INTRODUCTION
This is a new-build project which will be using recycled shipping containers for the entire house construction; so we are quite excited to see this project roll out. My client contacted Zenplumb as he was in search of a wastewater system that reflected the same ethos of low-impact, environmentally conscious design.
Sand and Rock Chute made from recycled materials.
on the side of a mountain
When your working on the side of a mountain, moving 25m3 of material down the face of a 65degree slope can be very time consuming, even with an earthmover. This chute was built using repurposed material and saved much time.
Sand Filter construction.
SECONDARY TREATMENT
The Land Capability Assessment stated that Secondary Treatment was required to achieve 20/30 water quality wastewater design. So we installed a WormWorx Sand Filter to achieve this.
Installing the Pressure Compensating Irrigation
LAND APPLICATION
After the Sand Filter, the recycled wastewater then distributes across a 230m2 Irrigation Field, using Subsurface Pressure Compensating Irrigation.
